Aged for 6y 10m, finished for nearly 4 months in a freshly dumped California port cask. This fresh cask was refilled, within days of being dumped

Nose: Rye spice, Dr. Pepper/Cherry Cola, caramel. A hint of vanilla comes through upon opening up. 

Palate: Dr. Pepper and plum/stone-fruit notes that are balanced by rye spice. The Rye spice which plays into these notes like a "carbonation" sensation on the tongue, making this seem more like a glass of Dr. Pepper. 

More plum, raisin, and caramel notes balance out the sweet finish. A crushable, and more balanced whiskey, than its age would suggest.
